Overheating, ways to stop?

I am low on money, my computer overheats because right now, it is summer and it hits 100 degrees outside.

What i have tried, and some questions.

I have heard that defragging, taking away spybots, and using less programs will help... But is there anything else? Besides buying something. I have 3 fans, a GREAT CPU fan but with my Radeon and AMD, it gets hot, and with the 100 degree weather, it gets very hot. So, is there a way to cool it down?

I won't open my case and put a fan blowing on it, amazingly i have been told to do that >.>,. I won't buy equipment, and i won't blow out my computer... Mainly because i already took a look at the dust, its very clean (I turn it off every night, i take good care of it).

Well i hope you can help me, please leave any thoughts, the downsides and the upsides of these. I would also like to thank you for your time and i very much appreciate just you saying anything. Even a, "sorry can't help, but i know what you mean." or whatever will be something nice to read. (I HATE when i have around 50-60 views and 0 posts... Its aggrivating to me...)
 
haha this might sound stupid but it could work you never know, put a bag of ice in ur tower, and lay it on some newspaper incase it leaks. it could work:cool:
 
And pray that no condensation occurs between the heat difference of the ice and your components, causing the condensation to drip onto your computers components damaging them :P. Why do you not wish to open your case and stick a fan blowing into it next to the computer? Also, running with an open case is one of the best cooling choices without paying. Take the other panel off, the one that's usually under the motherboard wall mount.

Fans don't create dust, they move it. But anyway, you already have 3 fans in there (you're not including the CPU/GPU/Motherboard fan, right?). What are your computer specs?

Try to space out all the components in your case, so maximum airflow can be obtained. Make sure your fans are moving air between your main components, in the through front, and out through the back. Make sure you don't have loads of cables getting in the way of your fans, and you could (if you haven't already) hook up the fans to 12v molex connectors, which will make them spin faster, but louder.

Are you using stock cooling for your CPU/Graphics card? You may want to look into aftermarker coolers for your CPU and graphics card.

Are you overclocking anything? That will definately raise the temperature.

Have you looked into which component(s) is/are actually overheating?
 
hmm this sounds like another one of those posts where no matter what we suggest Ecsed will shoot it down. If you are not willing to open the case and blow a fan on it or put more fans in your system then why ask for opinions? Those are the best options and would do the best for you. As far as spyware its really not going to have much if any affect on your system but scanning for them will cause it to heat up so thats your call. I would reccomend ccleaner, adaware, and spybot search and destroy. But seriously man if you are not open to suggestions on what to do with your cooling problem dont even post in the forums its just a waste of time and space.

Also, put the case's intake fans(fans sucking air in) towards the bottom of the case, and the exahust fans(fans blowing air out) towards the top. This will act inline with the "hot air rises" principle.

DO you have any old pcs you dont use that you could pull extra fans out of?
 
If you own a dell, apple, or sony laptop your battery might be the problem....check the recall program for your laptops company.
 
im with codeman on this one....what could you possibley do to cool off the inside of the tower if you're not willing to open the case?
 
Okay, what do you mean by hot? have you checked your temperatures through a program like everest or speedfan, or is just your random guess that it runs hot? computers always run hot, it just depends if it is too hot.
 
One thing I did that helped tremendously with cooling was to cut a hole in the top of my case big enough to mount a 120mm exhaust fan, dropped my case temp by nearly 10 degrees, looks pretty sweet if you use led fans too.
