Overlocking Athlon 3200

I have an AMD Athlon 3200+ cpu, and i'm soon to be getting a GeForce 7800 =) my question is, will the 3200 slow it down, or not let it live up to it's potential? Should I overlock it or should I upgrade cpu's?

Is that an Athlon64? If so, then i dont think it would much, or at all.

I doubt it is an Athlon XP, unless they made a Socket A PCI-Express motherboard behind my back.

But, the Athlon 64 3200+ will be slowing down that card, as even an Athlon 64 FX-57 would be.

You could try to overclock your CPU, and if that doesn't work out that well, you could upgrade your CPU, if you have Socket 939, that is. If you have a Socket 754 processor, you are also going to need to upgrade your motherboard to get a worthwhile upgrade.

Sorry, it is an Athlon 64, and it's a socket 939, i'll try to overlock it soon, if not should i upgrade to the 3500+ or go a little higher than that to the 3800+?

which 7800 :)
and the 30=200+ would depending on other factors be a bottleneck. An overclock would alleviate the issues slightly, but it will always be an issue. Albeit a minor one
