I'm a laptop noob, but I need one now that I am going away to college. I'm poor, so I went the Dell way.

Here's what I made on Dell.com:

Dell Inspiron 9400
1. Intel® Core™ Duo Proc T2250 (1.73GHz/533MHz/2 X 1MB L2 Cache)
2. Windows XP Professional
3. Dell 17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display w/TrueLife
4. 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
5. 80GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
6. 24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
7. 256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory
8. Bluetooth enabled.
9. Windows w/Word
10. 3 year on-site plan

For $1,422 before taxes, etc...

Does this sound like a good deal? It would be little bit of gaming (Warcraft 3, CS:S, etc..) and mostly school functional.
 
looks good, but for less if you want you can get one off newegg, if your going to use mainly for school work, and a bit of gaming.
 
^ I looked at Newegg, but all of their stuff is pre-fab, I didn't see a customize spot.

Does Newegg.com have a customize section?

EDIT: Is the DUO Proc that comes with the Dell a 64 bit?
