bittorrent is good if ur using a good client....

limewire....i get 50+ kb connections on ALL files i download.....soooooooooooooooo fast.....kazaa is more reliable but 30x slower!

just to make u aware, emule is out of business...they got shut down by the RIAA...so is bearshare...u should include FrostWire up there...its another version of Limewire except its gonna get rid of the protection that limewire is planning on implementing.

Strange because I'm download "I'm-not-telling-you-what" from eMule right now...

i like limewire, always manage to get good speeds and is very reliable
have also tried bitorrent a couple of times but never been able to download a thing, once it said there was about 93 years remaining until the download completed, at a seed of 0.0kb/sec!
 
SHAREAZA is the only one i know of in that list that is 100% spyware, virus, popup free. its completly clean but downloads can be very slow and recently have been very slow and few sources. Which one is also clean P2P ????

eMule and eDonkey, which are basically the same as Shareaza because they connect to the same servers
 
Talking of downloading illegal/pirated software is. P2P clients are in a gray area, the software itself isn't illegal, but most people use it for illegal downloading.

P2P by nature isn't clean unless the people using it are. No client can claim it is a virus/spyware free network because someone will always use it as a method to propogate spyware and/or viri.

The topic of Downloading music, videos, applications, etc... has been going on since this forum began. There are numerous threads on this topic.. open, closed and deleted.

The debate is never going to end and there is little point in rehashing it over and over again every few days.

Read the forum rules... It is quite clear that even if it is a GRAY AREA, we at the Computer Forum are going to favor the legal system.

Please do not clog up the forum with this topic.
