I cannot for the life of me sort this out.

What I am using:

Hardware
Linksys ADSL2MUE Modem
Linksys BEFSR81 V3 Router

Software
Azureus

Currently using port range 49152 - 49159

I have tried using Port Forwarding and Port Triggering but not having much luck.

Azureus complains of:

Firewall/NAT (TCP) reachability problem.

and

There appears to be a problem with the Distributed Database's UDP port mapping (Firewall/NAT)

Any ideas?

The fastest I have been able to d/l a torrent is 49.9kB/s.

I am not running a software firewall.

Well, for all we know, you could be downloading a legal file...after all, more and more companies are using BitTorrent now to distribute things like drivers, mainly because it's cheaper for the company, and easier.

Anyway, does your router have a built in firewall? If so, you probably need to disable it. Are you running any firewalls, etc, on your computer? Sometimes those can interfere with downloading...

Hi,

I don't run a software firewall on my machine.

Both my router and modem have NAT, no other firewall technology.

I think it's something to do with my Modem. When I used to use a cable modem with my current router, port forwarding worked fine.
