When you start dealing with those kinds chips (and prices), performance is all roughly the same and separating factors tend to focus on features like overclockabilityObviously, 3.8 is faster than 3.46, but does the Extreme Edition make a difference??
Well like i suggested before, when you get to those kinda price ranges, its not all thay much of a difference ... sure one might run faster here and there but really ... the differences are on a scale beyond the scope of mostNow I just gotta decide between one of these and the FX-55.
Also realize that, like the comparison with the 3.8GHz P4E, an FX55 is overkill for damn near most of the computing populationI've heard that the P4 EE is faster with general stuff like audio and regular applications than the FX-55. However, the FX-55 takes the cake and is way faster for games. So it, like it always does, depends on what you are going to be doing.
