page file

Are you tight on disk space or something? :P it won't hurt. I say let windows manage it you never know when it might come in handy :)

Windows is programmed to use a swap file no matter how much RAM you have. It's just one of those things. If you don't have it some programs can malfunction, crash etc. Just let Windows manage it and you'll be fine.

Nah, I have 300 gigs left, I was just asking because I thought ram is faster than page file, thus yielding better performance if I disable page file.

Some programs require pagefiling. If you aren't using any programs that require pagefiles I would just disable it. Some people claim they cannot see a difference in system speed using virtual memory but if you don't need it why use it? You have 4 gigabytes of memory and that is certainly more than sufficient.
