Hey, simple question i am not experianced enough to just guess so.

Will a palit gt 430 graphics card work with a 350watts power supply? Also Will it fit in the A8V-VM motherboard? :D

Thanks In advanced :D :good:

it will fit your board. As for power, that is not likely. I would say not to go below 400 watts minimum for a PCIe card.

its not a power hungry card, but you still have to think about all the other things in your computer also. If you are running it with only 1 optical drive, a dual core CPU, 2 sticks of DDR3, and 1 SSD then you should be good. If you have more components, you will need more power.

it 4gb ram (4 sticks of 1) a dual core 2.2 ghz processor and 1 ide hard drive and 1 ide dvd drive. should be ok?

It will all run fine. The GT 430 is a more power hungry card than an 8400 GS though, so you may want a better PSU. A Corsair CX430 can be had for £35 from Novatech, get that power supply and the GT 430 and call it a day there. :)

It will run fine on the 350W supply, we have one with a e5200, 2 gig ram, optical drive and wd black 1tb hdd, and it runs fine.

I have a 380 watt (but it is a 80plus certified psu) and it runs a gt 240 and core 2 duo, check my sig, I'm guessing a 240 is more power hungry than a 430, so you should be fine.

What 350W is this. A OEM 350W could be a old cheapo and only have 175/200W on the 12V rail. Depends on the brand and model.

right the make is ColorIT :/ i personally have never heard of them. but will it do the job, not asking how long for just will it do it? also i know it may not last long or may not be a good idea just will it power it for the time being?

Look at the case and see if there is a sticker that gives the ampere rating for the different voltages.
Look for the +12v amp rating.

Just get the GT 430 and the CX430.... your current PSU probably won't run a GT 430, and even if it can, it's a junk power supply. For £35 the Corsair CX430 is a good power supply. :)

its 18A under the +12v, i dont want to buy a new PSU for this pc, i just want this card to scrape under its 350w psu. xD

Should *just* be able to scrape by with 18A to the +12V rail and 350W. Yeah it'll run but as soon as you add anything else to the PC you'll need a new power supply.
