Partition gone wrong? O.O

Basically i decided to reformat my HD today and start afresh ( i do this every so often). Anyways, i decided to split my 465GB into 2 sections, one would be 200GB and the other would be 265GB. So, when i came to installing vista i installed it on the 200GB one, now when i go onto my computer it says i only have 195GB total, the other 265GB just isnt there?

Is there a way i can get it all to add up again (465), without having to reformat and uninstall windows?

Cheers!

is the other partition formatted?
check in disk management under Manage after right clicking on My Computer.

Okay, got that it says
196GB NTFS, in a blue bar, on the right hand side theres a black bar saying
270GB unallocated?

Right click on the unallocated part and choose format.
If you want to add a second OS to the new partition, then choose to make it a PRIMARY partition , otherwise choose LOGICAL.

It shouldn't take too long in Vista and you can minimize the operation and continue working whilst it's doing the formatting.

Thanks so much dude, i was on the verge of reinstalling vista!
A quick Q, anyone know what NTFS stands for/means?

Thats crazy ;)

Cheers for that article man! :)

Just realised something, my OS is on the on the 195GB (C) partition, and its suppose to be on the 270GB (E) partition :|

Is there anyway i can just transfer 100GB off the 270GB parition to the other, thus making it 295GB and 170GB?

Can you do it without having to delete (E), or do you have to delete E, then extend C, then recreate the partion as 170GB?

(Sorry if its a little confusing)
