Im working on a friend of mines computer. Her brother set it up so that there was a small partition for the os alone. Well not knowing much about computers she used the default and everything shes installed got put on the c drive with the os. Theres no room for any updates. Problem is she dosent have the disk to reinstall windows. Just just moved and she lost it so im trying to figure out a good free program to change partitions without reformatting. Ive looked into partition magic and for one its to expensive as well as i really dont like symantec. Norton espessially. So if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well, there is another partitioning software.
It's Disk Director by Acronis.
That's another solution for u.
As for freewares: actually, i do not believe to those freewares.
they aren't reliable enough. so i'd recommend u to use ADD.

NO doubt Disk Director is much better then Partition Magic.
DD is cheaper, has more features(recovery wizard is included).
it's more reliable. so i do vote for responders above recommendations.
whatever,that's just my vision.

Or you can just move the install files to the other partition.

Windows partitioner doesnt allow you to change partition size ;)

LMFAO! I thought you ment attension deffosit disorder :D what a mix up!
:) yeap, funny enough
it often happens as in ATI case (ATI - regards to video card and to backup software).
i ve looked through and find out that partitioning softwares
abbreviation is ADDS (stands for Acronis Disk Director Suite).
JFHuff - u're wellcome, hope it 'll help.
