The Gateway Cx2620 tablet pc has a monitor that can swivel and rotate 180 degrees. My bother managed to break the round piece that hold the monitor to the laptop. He did not drop the laptop. The laptop never had a post beeped and the monitor no longer worked. I hooked an external monitor to the laptop and it did not boot. I had him send it to Best Buy's (Where he bought the laptop) Geek Squad who want over 1000 dollars to fix it 
(no joke). I'm looking for parts that will work for this model of laptop as well as teardown guides.
Just a shot in the dark. Has any heard of a laptop that would not boot because of the main monitor was disconnected?
