Does a ddr2 graphics card run on a ddr3 board? or does the card have to match the board?

The video cards memory and the boards memory have nothing to do with each other. It wil run fine.

what matters is you have to make sure your CPU = mobo (AM2 = AM2) or (AM3 = AM2+ or AM3) and your RAM = mobo (DDR2 = DDR2) or (DDR3 = DDR3) I hope this is clear. the video card doesn't factor in
