Password login

When I got this new lap top on setting it up, I though I would need a password.

Now every time I turn the computer on or even when it sleeps if I have not used it for 5 minutes, I have to enter the password.

This laptop is my own personal one, only my wife lives with me and she knows nothing about computers.

Could someone please advise me how to get rid of the facility to enter a password, just turn on and the computer is alive.

control panel / user accounts, the option is there to delete password.
Or and create another user account if needed without password.
Just make sure ya have admin rights. Should have another account
anyway in case yours gets corrupted.
