Password on startup.

I have a Lenovo Yoga laptop at home.

My password it asks when I turn it on is a long one, I used it in my office when I first had it so security was important.

Now I am retired, the only person who uses it is myself.

I wonder if there is a way I can remover the need to have a password ie on startup and when it goes to sleep if Im in the kitchen doing some cooking etc.

I would appreciate your advice.

In windows 10 type: netplwiz into bar at bottom, that'll take you to the menu to choose to uncheck box to not have to sign in with password.

You dont know whether your on windows 7, 8, or 10??????????????

Thanks, but the only bar at the bottom of the screen is the one with various apps on it, cant type anything into it ?

Type it in the search window box.
