I tried that and it only locks windows files or you can lock a program from someone opening it but once it's running it's no longer password protected.

This is what I need to do...I have a caller ID program that runs when windows starts that will allow me to block unwanted calls, it starts when windows starts and thats fine because I need it to run all the time. How ever it loads an icon in the system tray and anyone in my family can get into it and they add numbers or delete them. I can hide the program it's self so they cant find it but I cant do anything with the icon...is there a way to make a program run without having it load an icon in the system tray?

I dont want to lock down the whole computer because I would like the rest of the family to be able to use it...I even tried to install the program under another user account but then it dont run until I sighn into that account.

Yep that works beautiful...I had to hide this program in an encripted folder though otherwise you can just uninstall it, I also put my caller ID program in the same folder and they both work on startup. Great find thank you very much!
