Password

Hello everyone

Sorry if this topic is not in the right forum or if it has already been discussed.

I wanted to know how to disable the password on my labtop. I have a Vaio Sony and it asks for the password as soon as I turn it on and Vaio runs across the screen.

I know the password but it's becoming a hassle to type it in everytime and I can't seem to find out where I can disable it.

Once you type in the password you should be able to go to the BIOS and remove it.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what does BIOS mean and where is it? lol

No problem,

BIOS = Basic Input\Output System

and once you type in you password it should say something like "Press ____ to enter BIOS" and the ____ should be F8, F10, delete or another F_ key.

The Windows user password is different to the bios password. If a password prompt displays before Windows has booted, it's the latter.
