This is a BIOS password generator for Dell Latitudes from the Service Tag number. program is available at http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~skynet/zips/latitude.exe.

Im not sure if it works are not your service tag no hould be on the bottom on a label and should also be displayed in the bios . any how you have to run his from does

c:>latitude.exe followed by your service tag no and then hit enter

How the heck do I do this with no floppy drive, no internet, and a broken CD drive?

Hmm I presume you've access to the internet since your posting on this forum?

you run the program on your on P.C with the service tag number of the Laptop & after you get the master password enter it on the laptop

all this program does is calculate a master password based on your dell service tag

Try thinking inside the Box !!

Ok what you do is copy latitude.exe on to your c: (just for example)

run command prompt/ MS DOS (start - run - cmd)

make sure command prompt is as below

c:>

if its not type cd\ until it goes to that

ok type in after that

c:>latitude.exe 78Y89Z then hit enter

subsitute 78Y89Z for your laptops service tag number

So, hows it workin' our for ya.. :D

I told you I would post the results the next time I see the laptop, and I haven't seen it yet....I don't go to that particular aunt's house very often, and it wasn't quite top priority on my to-do list;)
