When I re-boot my computer, I always have to sign in. This is very annoying and not necessary. How do I eliminate this problem? Thanks

Like I said, you just enable auto login and install ClassicShell :)

The OEM's with the UEFI BIOS' are the ones that suck.

What the OEM's are trying to do within time is stop us from being able to get into the BIOS and make us use the advance options in Windows 8 to pick what we need to boot from. This does not work however if people install Windows 7, Linux or one of the BSD's since none of these have that option and rely on us to manually enter the BIOS. Most OEM's for now have just removed the information of what key to press to enter the BIOS when the computer boots but from my understanding the ability to enter the BIOS in the future is going away, it is MS point on secure boot.

Preventing users to be able to get into the BIOS just sucks! :mad:
I really hate them for trying to do that! :mad:
I am staying on my old computer forever lol.
At least I have total control of it...
 
Yeah, another win for M$. How are people suppose to overclock? I guess this is only OEM though? You can't overclock one of those.
 
Yes, it's just OEM's doing this. It's perfectly fine on retail motherboards.
 
You can still get into the BIOS... you just need to know what key to press. Not that big of a deal. And once in there, you can turn secure boot off.
