Go into control panel, user accounts, your user name, click on remove password.
Windows 8 requires a password. That won't make any difference.

What the OEM's are trying to do within time is stop us from being able to get into the BIOS and make us use the advance options in Windows 8 to pick what we need to boot from. This does not work however if people install Windows 7, Linux or one of the BSD's since none of these have that option and rely on us to manually enter the BIOS. Most OEM's for now have just removed the information of what key to press to enter the BIOS when the computer boots but from my understanding the ability to enter the BIOS in the future is going away, it is MS point on secure boot.
Yes, it's just OEM's doing this. It's perfectly fine on retail motherboards.
