hi i just want to know if i can use pc4000 mem running at 500mhz in a mobo that supports pc 3200 running at 400mhz they are both 184 pin

Just make sure they are DDR then they will be 184 pin.

The PC4000 is backwards compatable, so it will work.

Ya but it will only run at pc3200 400mhz. If it's not RAM you already own, then you should get pc3200 RAM for cheaper. All the best, Cheers
