Pc Black?

I have a problem with my pc if i wait overnight then turn the power on the window i boot on for 10 minutes then it is freezed, then i reset my pc again but this time my monitor is black no signal, the power on pc is still green? what is causing this problem? thank you in advance.
 
after checking to see if everything is plugged in correctly check your ram and video card. Oddly enough having gunk on the connection points of the ram in the notebook i'm using right now caused it to quit booting, blank screen. But it could be your video card something else like that. Just start elimintaing things, test the video card in another computer or pull it out and put a different one in and see if that solves the problem and so on.
 
It sounds like you are seeing something overheat in a short period of time. Something like the bios eprom, main chipset, or faulty memory are the things to be looking at there.
