I'm gonna build my first computer in a week or two, and want to know if there are any secrets or any first timer tips? I dont wanna screw this up :P

Don't just shove everything in the case, think about it logically, maybe put the motherboard in first, as putting in optical drives may make it more difficult, and if you have a case with an exhaust fan pre-installed at the back, take it out, it will give you much more room to work with. Oh, and maybe take a few minutes reading your motherboard instructions, getting to know where everything is before starting off

Don't forget standoffs for the motherboard.

Don't mess up the front panel power connectors, or else your PC won't boot :)

Are you really building it with those parts? cuz i would reccomend some better ones unless you cant.
Yes i'm building it with those parts, im EXTREMELY limited on cash, plus i have the processor already layin around. So i'm just gonna use it for now, till i can afford a Core 2 Duo.

there's certainly a huge improvement when it comes to the CPU. However, the graphics card you chose is a bit weak. See if you can bump it up to a 7600GS or a GT.

I know but i'm on a EXTREMELY tight budget, just using the little bit of christmas money i got, so if i even have enough to get a video card, that will have to be what i get. Its still has better specs then the graphics card i have now :P
