pc clock keeps turning back the time

im using vista 32 and my pc clock, the one on the bottom right corner, keeps going back a few hours after i reset it


what gives?

Could be the bios time is off. Or the motherboard battery is going dead and cant keep the time up.

i like the battery idea... and it makes sense because the clock gets set back further and further each time

Just set the time in the bios right and see if it stays. If the bios time starts getting off again, its probably just the battery.

sorry to dig a day old thread but how can i set a time in bios? how do i get to bios?

When you turn on the pc there should be a message that says press (delete,f1, or whatever) to enter bios or setup and look for the clock (or main settings or such).
