pc cooling fans

hello all!

Ok i have 4 80mm fans that i want to place efficently within my case. I also have 1 120mm in back of my case and one 80mm near my hd in front..also i have a 180mm fan on the side...where shud i place my 4 80mm fans for the best cooling?

Depending on your case, you should definately place something up top so that the air gets sucked out of the case and blown out through the top. In my Antec 900 II, I have a 240mm fan that takes all the hot air out and in the front and side I have 3 120mm fans that suck in air to keep it cool. In the back you should have that blows the air out of the case.

my case is the armor+MX...came with stock 180mm side fan...120 power fan in back and in front...i just bought 4 more 80mm fans to add to the cool.

If you could, I would buy a 120mm instead and mount it on the top. It will be much quieter than having 80mm's on top.

general mounting - bring cold air from the front and sides, expel the hot air from the top and back...

ya i guess i can mount a 80mm at most on top....hmm now to decide which 80mm fan i want..i want sumething with really good air movement and quiet

you will always have an annoying humming drone with 80mm fans...
