Really though, what is realistic for someone without a job??

The reality is, spending say $500-600 on a PC is stupid..your gonna have to cut corners every which way and need to upgrade in the same year.
 
Overkill is best kill. Its not unrealistic if he didn't spend all that money trying to fix his problems that he ended up not being able to fix...

Yeah, with the $200 he has and the $500 hes spent on hopeless upgrades, he'd be half way there already
