PC data transfer

Well soon I will have a new rig running windows vista, and my old computer running xp has many games and files on it that I would like to keep. What is the best way to transfer files from one to the other....

I have heard of laplink and I have heard that it does not work well with vista, I have also heard of Windows Easy Transfer and heard that it works well since it is made by Microsoft.

What would ya all recommend that would work with vista?

you can transfer them easily via network, using hub
or an external Hard Disk if you want

Why would you use a hub? Just buy a $2 crossover cable and connect both PC's together using their NIC's, enable sharing and copy all the files over.

Crossover cable will work as OMEGA said. I use a hub because my computers are in separate rooms and we can use the internet at the same time.
