Happy New year to one and all
My PC running under Windows XP SP3 with Microsoft security suite & Zone alarm, checked occasionally with Malaware, CCleaner and Spybot S & D ( nothing abnormal found with any of them) is running full pelt nearly all the time which slows it down almost to a stand still, but I do not know what it is doing!!
Have checked the settings for automatic searches/scans - all off for the moment,
System does not need defrag - Did that a couple of weeks ago
Task managers lists a bunch of stuff but don't know what it does so don't want to close something down that might 'upset' the system even more.
Any suggestions for fix, system is so slow its no fun anymore!!!
Any help will be gratefully received
