When i run games such as crysis 2, BF3 Beta, Assassins creed, and Bioshock my computer freezes and something inside my case makes a high pitched noise. i am not able to start task manager or anything so i have to restart my computer. It has only happened when i was running higher end games but the games will be running at 60fps perfectly fine and then all of sudden it freezes. These freezes come at random times, sometimes after 5 minutes or sometimes after 3 hours. i taking a guess but i think it might be something to do with my hd3000 gpu but im not sure. Thank you for any help!

Most likely a cooling fan, possibly on the video card. Open the side of the case and determine where the noise is coming from. If you want tk play bf3 then you better get a better video card, hd6870 at minimum.
