HI, my PC keeps auto shut down by itself and a blue screen appears thereafter stated:

"If you have recently installed any hardware or software, uninstall them.....

error code ................"

And when I reboot my PC, the following error message prompt appears on my Windows XP screen

BCCode: a BCP1: FFFFFFE0 BCP2: 0000002 BCP3: 000000
BCP4: 80532ADF OsVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 2_0 Product 768_1

May I know the cause of the problem, please. Thank you.

Can you tell us the numbers on the blue screen? STOP 0x?? (0x??, 0x??, 0x??, 0x??) I think the 4 numbers I have in brackets are these: BCP1: FFFFFFE0 BCP2: 0000002 BCP3: 000000
BCP4: 80532ADF but we still need the stop number

Are you running something like MyDVD 4 or 6 or maybe something by Roxio? I know I had some real fun with errors like that and stalls when the Roxio Easy Nedia Creator 8's "TDriver.exe" would hang everything up. You would look in the task manager and see it listed 8 or 9 times. Some of these programs go after reserved memory addresses. That will hang a system fast.

HI, Cromewell, Thanks for your help. The error code on the blue screen is:

STOP: 0x000000A (0xFFFFFFE0, 0x0000002, 0x000000, 0x80532ADF)

HI, PC Eye,
You hit the bingo!. I was running Ulead Video Studio as I am compiling my photos and it hanged everytime after I started the programme for a few minutes....

Appreciate your help to overcome the problem/../

Appreciate it.. :)

I know the feeling too well on that. I paid about $100 in retail store to get Roxio for burning Linux iso images when nothing else would at the time. Now I simply use BurnOn's free tryout version to do the same thing without the hassles of ending the process repeatedly on TDriver.exe.
But I still need Roxio for data dvds for now. :( One of these days though! :D

PC Keeps auto reboot/ shut-down

Dear All Pals,

My PC keeps auto shut down by itself. Coincidentally, I was using Ulead Video Studio for a few miniutes and the problem will arise. A blue screen appears thereafter stated:

"If you have recently installed any hardware or software, uninstall them.....

error code STOP: 0x000000A (0xFFFFFFE0, 0x0000002, 0x000000, 0x80532ADF) "

And when I reboot my PC, the following error message prompt appears on my Windows XP screen

"BCCode: a BCP1: FFFFFFE0 BCP2: 0000002 BCP3: 000000
BCP4: 80532ADF OsVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 2_0 Product 768_1 "

May I know the cause of the problem, please. Thank you
:)

Well that's defiently a problem, a driver tried to read from FFFFFFE0 :)

Have you checked for updates to Ulead? Also, do you have another program to edit/create dvds with? I think PC eye suggested a few that you might want to look at. Failing that there may be some good ones at sourceforge. I don't do much burning so I don't know of any.

The one thing I've noticed lately with BurnOn although you get some good burns is after awhile it will suddenly stall for no reason. When that happens I run the "sfc /scannow" at the Run prompt for a few minutes and all of a sudden it starts burning iso images good again. That probably has more to do with auto page load for buying the full version that pops up right after a burn. Other then that annoyance it does a great job.

Ulead may have a patch to download or a reg fix if you look over their knowledge base. Every so often you'll see a software driver hang or try to access a system reserved memory address. It's not limited to burning softwares either.

Hi, I have rectified the problem...and it lies with the RAM, but the power supply. I troubleshot my PC by:
1. first, uninstall and re-install windows OS
-problem persists.

2. Change the power supply, was reluctantly to do so cos I doubt the power supply was faulty as I could do everything else except for functions that requires excessive RAM usage. My problem always arise whenever I used ULEAD Video Studio for video processing and compilation.

Finally, phew... hope my experiences help.

Thanks for all advices. :D

A flaky supply or bad ram is always a nuisance. On one board memory errors kept coming up saying the memory was no good. The replacement memory saw even more errors. The system bios was flaky! The replacement memory is being used on the new board without any errors. It goes to show it's not always what you think it is.
