Pc Locking Up

Well recently i built my PC

Specs: AMD 7750 BE 2.7Ghz, MSI K9A2 Platinum, 2GB Corsair RAM, ATi 4850

Ran fine for a while with no problems, but after installing GTA4 its begun to lock up sometimes, but only in games running windows xp normally its fine, but if i play a game for long enough it will just lock up, i've run a CPU stresser to make sure that wasnt overheating and it wont go above 40 degrees and my ATi 4850 is apprantly fine until it hits about 90 which i know it doesnt.

Any Ideas on what could be causing the problem??

Anyone got any ideas as to what could be causing this, Because I' m just confused about why its only freezing in games.
 
Well the only Ideas that I would have would be to either try a defrag of your system of download something that will fix all the extra stuff in your computer there is one program that does this and I really like it it is ccleaner you can get it at ccleaner.com
 
see if there are any updates for the game or the os itself that need to be installed. i had a similar problem and thats how i got rid of it
