Pc not running well

hey guyz

just built my gaming system about a month ago, and im having a few problems

well first of all for my specs, its extremly slow, my older pc ran 20x faster, its not smooth, its glitchy, and gets stuck alot, so i checked all my hardware and everything was running fine, i assumed it was windows, and now im using another windows xp that i had, and its the same, i also get alot of this blue screen thing, or a popup saying memory cannot be read or something like that, samething with the blue screen memory somthing it says as well.

well here are my specs

core i5 650 @ 3.2
2gb dominator ddr3 1gbx2
maximus iii gene
xfx gts 250
antec psu true power 750
cm scout
320 seagate hdd*

i bought everything new, except my hardrive which had fallen a couple of times, so i thought it was probably that, i ran so many tests and it passed in all of them, i dought its the ram, its brand new, i tried another windows and i still have the problem, the pc runs real cool so its not over heating or anything

oh yeah one more thing my 32''lcd keeps on blacking out for a few seconds every few minutes nothing to do with the power, its on, and the pc is running it dosent freeze or anything, i was thinking its the cable although its new, and its screwd in well

thank you

We would need to know what data was listed on the blue screen to tell you what to do. It could be the hard drive even though it passed the test. It's either bad hardware or possibly driver issue. Get the data off the blue screen next time it happens and let us know.

well its happened twice so far, and the only thing i read of it is ''memory, begin and dump or something'' becuase the screen stays blue for less then a second, thats all i could get off it, noticed it happened both times while i was watching a vid once from my externall hdd and once from my internal, im pretty sure getting a new hdd would fix the problem, becuase this is the only part im using from my old build, which fell a couple of times, its either that or ram, but i so dont want it to be the ram, its gonna be a huge pain in the ass to return it, i think im gonna rule out software? and unless this could be virus related becuase my external hdd is always plugged and its been thru atleast 20xp/vista/7 install but i scan it and the pc regulary

thanks

Make sure you plug the two memory sticks into the correct slots. I.E Use the RED slots when running two sticks.

You have a hardware fault m8 maybe the gpu but i doubt it, as you say you dropped the hard drive not good for something that is mechanically driven and i bet if you did the hard drive test on another h/d it would be alot quicker
Go and get a new hard drive m8
