My PC is not starting up normally. The Microsoft Windows XP logo appears and then it gives me the option to hit F11, F1 or F12, then it starts over to the XP logo then the F11, F1, F12, over and over. What do I need to do to fix this? I don't want to lose my working files. Any help is appreciated.

if you have tried safe mode and last known good configuration and they havent worked you could put the windows disk in and do a repair install.

Options

F11 Program Recovery System
F1 is for Setup
F12 is Startup Device Menu.

Not sure what to do. Please advise.

Splash

Yes, that comes up the goes to the screen with the F1, F11, F12 Options, then back to splash screen over and over non stop.

Do a system Repair.

1. - Pop the windows disc in
2. - Boot of the Disc
3. - Follow through the instructions and select R for Repair.

Repair

I have two questions:

1. Will I lose my working files if I do that?
2. What if I can't find my original windows cd but have another one, will that work?

Thanks

You won't lose any imortant files; Windows will erase and reinstall important operating system files. You can use any Windows XP disk.
