Pc public terminal

If a public terminal pc has viruses, malware, spyware, ect, could all of this potentially affect the audio if someone is using earbuds connected to the tower and theyre listening to youtube or any other website?

In what way is the audio affected. Is the processor overused, like 100%? There can be various reasons for poor audio, like poor grounding and other noisy hardware connected to the computer. Viruses wouldn't be my first thought.
