PC refuses to power up

Hi guys, I just helped a friend rebuild his rig, everything in it is new, mobo, CPU, PSU, everything, but when i plug everything in, the PC refuses to power up....nothing even spins up....what could be wrong? is it possible the case switch itself has died?
 
try tugging on the 24 pin PS to mobo adaptor. if it falls out then it's not plugged in properly.
 
It could be something really simple. When I built mine I had the same problem. I was going throught all the wires and noticed I had one backwards. My eVGA 8800 GTX takes two 6 pin power connectors from the PSU. On the end that connects to the card it has "PCI" printed on it. The cable will connect the wrong way, both ends are 6 pin connectors. I turned the cable around and everything fired right up. Never had a problem yet. I would suggest taking all the cables off and reconnecting them. Maybe it will work for ya!
