PC to 32" LCD and Home Theater

Hi all,
Would like to ask you how to connect and which hardware to use. Also do you advice to do that or not...

I'm buying a 32" Samsung LCD (Milano series). I will buy a new desktop and thinking about not having a monitor and use the Samsung as the monitor for it.

I would like to know the following:
1) Do you recommend doing that or not?
2) Which Graphic card should i get to play extreme graphics 3D games and movies.
3) The TV is HDMI ready... How to make this work from the PC.
4) Will have Samsung Home Theater with it (2 wireless back speakers) can i connect them to the PC too? for games and movies?

1. Yea it wuld be cool, if your willing to get a good enough gpu to support the resolution
2. What is your budget for a gpu? if you dont have one get the 7900gtx
3. Correct me if im wrong, but you dont need HDMI most tv's now have pc ports in the back, so u can plug ur comp right in
4. That im not sure about, maybe with a good enough sound card?

I cant reccomend a GPU without ur budget
 
I'll just comment on the gaming side of things. I would never recommend a 32 LCD for gaming. You would need the best possible GPU the push at those native resolutions and I don't even see the 7900GTX keeping you fully satisfied. Large LCD TV's tend to have lower refresh rates and this is also bad for gaming. What are the refresh rates of that LCD?

i was thinking the same thing, but on my old 32inch lcd. i didnt play games on the full screen. it was like half the screen and it worked just fine and i didnt even have that good of a gpu.

but you might be very right.

edit: if you want something big, go with a dell 24inch lcd or one of those 30inch lcds

im sure those are good for gaming

actually, for a home theater, I would recommend a projector. I don't know how it would be for gaming, but it would be around the same price as the monitor, at least I am assuming so

i actually found a projector at the dump (well my friend did..), and it can support up to 1280x1024 resolution. Im going to pick up a VGA cable for it, and im gonna try to play games with it, i'll let you know how it turns out.

well lucky you. :D but that isn't a very good projector, 21 pounds and only 650 lumens. 2000 lumens is a good projector. But the resolution is very good, most only go up to 1024x768.

Never thought of that. There might be compatibility issues with some games however I don't know. But yea not a bad idea.

i actually found a projector at the dump (well my friend did..), and it can support up to 1280x1024 resolution. Im going to pick up a VGA cable for it, and im gonna try to play games with it, i'll let you know how it turns out.

Frig nice find. Someone with too much money obviously threw that out.

it wasnt that it played litterally half the screen, its just that i had a tv input plugged in as well. so i split the screen half pc and half tv. so i was watching tv with no sound while playing css with sound.

Nice find, but have you tested it yet? If the lamp is dead (and that happens quite a bit), the previous owner may have decided it to throw it out rather than buy a $500 lamp to get it working.

yea good point, but the one that geoff posted said it had an MSRP of almost 9000 dollars. that wuld be cool if it was in perfect working condition.
