PC to LCD TV

I just purchased a brand new SAMSUNG 32" LCD TV. I would like to hook up my PC to the TV (for gameming purposes). The TV has a standard VGA input for the PC.

However, my video card is a 7600GT with DVI connection. I was thinking of getting one of those cables where one end is DVI and the other is HDMI (tv has 3 HDMI inputs)

Would I see a great improvement in visual quality? I'm I wasting my time? Will it even work? This would be my first time connecting my PC to a TV so I don't know what to expect. Can you help me out decide weather to hook it up via VGA input or the HDMI one?

PC spec:
AMD 64 4000+ Sck 939
Nvidia 7600GT
2Gb RAM
ASUS A8V MoBo Sck 939

TV spec:
Samsung LNT3253H 32"

I've been meaning to get a DVI to HDMI converter to see exactly what kind of quality improvements I get with my LCD TV. I've used the VGA port on it and it's limited to 1280x768 or something along those lines. I'm assuming(but not sure) using DVI/HDMI would allow me to use the full 1366x768 resolution.

Be sure to let me know what the results are. I've been eying that DVI to HDMI cable on eBay as well as the VGA one. It does seem that the quality would be superior but I just know there is a problem that I don't know about.

Just buy one off newegg. They are super cheap. I use one from my gpu to 42" HDTV. I run 1920 x 1080 res crystal clear. I can't imagine using VGA.

I know this isn't exactly related to what you are using, but I have a 32" 720P LCD TV as well that I use as my primary monitor, and it looks great connected via a VGA cable. My video card only has DVI as well, but I just used a DVI to VGA converter.

I have a DVI to VGA converter I just need to buy a cable long enough to reach it, hence I'm debating weather to go DVI -- HDMI or DVI (converter) -- VGA. I don't want to screw up my TV (I'm paranoid) and I wanted to know if the quality of the image would really be different.

Between OMEGA and theresthatguy I'm conflicted.
