PC to PC connection with a straighthrough or crossover cable

So I have two PCs that I have connected with a crossover cable(directly into each other's NIC). I am testing out ways to access PC2 from PC1 without physically touching PC2. I having trouble what commands i can use in cmd to get the ip address or mac address for telnet. What are my options for getting the mac address and ip address that can be used with telnet?

You can use nmap to scan for listening services, but usually you'd have to specifically set up these services before you can remotely connect.

You should see some layer 2 broadcast/discovery traffic if you use wireshark that would tell you the MAC.
