Hey

I was wondering if I could get some help ?

My plan was to connect my gaming pc to my Tv wirless through mirroring software , and my plan was to game through the TV. Would this be possible at high graphic and without lag?

It would be easier to use a VGA or an HDMI cable.

Yeah ofc, but my plan was to have my pc at one place and Tv at another so it would be impossible to use cable :P

Thats why I was wondering if it would be possible to do this wireless

What you could do is get a wireless display adapter which plugs into the HDMI port on your TV and is powered by USB (I know Microsoft makes one, there's probably others out there too) and then if you use 8.1 or 10 you can connect to a wireless display or a projector (which would be your TV) and that should work. Just set the input of the TV to HDMI and it will act exactly like a 'wireless monitor'. We use this system at school to connect Surface tablets wirelessly to HDMI projectors and it seems to be OK. :)

Unless your TV has something like MiraCast or other wireless display technology built into it (which I doubt it has), you will need some kind of HDMI wireless display adapter to plug into the TV.

Here's the Microsoft one I was talking about: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-W...1&keywords=microsoft+wireless+display+adapter

Or you can get the older version for a bit less: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-C...2&keywords=microsoft+wireless+display+adapter

If your TV has an HDMI and a USB port then something like that would work.

Should be able to find it on US stores. :)

The one thing to watch out for would be the range. I don't know how far away you want your PC to be from your TV, but it will need to be fairly close for anything like this to work effectively.

Looks interessting, will take a look at it.

You'll have poor framerates while gaming if you do it wirelessly.
Why will this be?

Becuse of hardware or becuse of the wireless connection ?

If I have really good internett connection will this help for the fps?

Yeah that particular adapter tends to be advertised as a 'Surface accessory' but I think it should work with any device since it doesn't have any specific driver software. Windows 8.1 and 10 can connect to wireless displays right out of the box without the need for software. So long as your TV has an HDMI and a USB port and the PC is close enough to it, then it should work.

You should only get lag if your PC is too far away from the adapter to make the connection. Internet connection doesn't matter at all if you're asking why you might get lag from using this wireless adapter, what matters is range. If the PC is too far away then the (Bluetooth) connection won't be as strong so you might get lag.

And even if you retained all FPS and had a 60hz+ TV, you would most likely have a huge input lag. Which would make platformers and FPS games impossible to enjoy. Some more casual games could work, but who wants to be a casual :D

Will the input lag be possible to solve, or is this just because of the actually hardware that is in the tv

It's because of the TV and the method of which you're sending video to the TV.
