I was just curious if i could us an s-cable to run from my video card and then hook it up to my dvd/vhs player and get a video feed from my pc. is this possible?? my tv doesnt have an s-cable hook up but my dvd player/vhs does. let me know. Thanks guys.

Yes, I believe you could run an s-video cable to your VHS Player. The Quality would degrade if course, what exactly would you be using it for? Turning your TV into a second monitor?

By the way, welcome to the forum.

I have an s-video cable running from my pc to my VCR (with a scart converter) it works fine. So i dont see why a direct s-video to s-video would be a problem. It should work fine. :)

EDIT: beaten by a minute :P

i guess it would matter if it was a video out on my dvd player huh? cause that is what it is. i think thats why it isnt working. im just using it as a secondary monitor so i can watch movies i have on my hard drive. but i think its not working cause it is s-cable out on my dvd player. if you guys have suggestions that would be great. thanks.

You won't be able to connect it to a dvd player (probably) because you are trying to connect two s-video outs. The dvd player's s-video socket it to feed a signal from the dvd player to another device. Dvd players are designed just to play disks. So, yes that is the reason. :)
