Hello. This is my first post. If I am in the wrong area please let me know.
I purchased a HP a1000n last year July and have been wondering about a certain problem. It first started when I would play games, dvds or go to a site that used Flash. It seemed like a motor/fan would kick in spin for a while then stop. I have noticed though that this is happening more frequently and I am very concerned. It is getting to the point where it will kick on every 4 minutes or so even if I just go to a new webpage. MarcoMedia Flash causes my PC to freeze and I have to restart the computer again~ even though I upgraded the Flash player to a recent version. I dont want my computer to die or get fried on me. It's my first and I want to take care of it.
I went to a site where it said some drivers needed updating but then the site wanted me to pay for the drivers to be updated... I have no idea if drivers are the problem but I have taken it under consideration.
Here is some info about my computer:
340 Intel Celeron D Processor
512 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory
80 GB 7200 RPM Ultra DMA hard drive
Hewlett Packard a1000n
OS: XP Service Pack 2
I have installed various anti-spyware stuff just incase but this constant motor/fan running is getting a bit much. Please help.
