Are you sure thats the model number of pc you have? Not getting any matches at hp to get system specs.

I know its a compaq, but still HP has support for it since HP bought out compaq years ago.

It has an available pci express video card slot and is capable of running 4gb of memory. The problem you have is it only has a 250 watt power supply and it would have to be replaced. So you will have to factor in a new power supply. If you want my honest opinion, I wouldn't spend money on this system. I would save up another couple hundred and have someone build you an updated system. The system you have only has an am2 socket which is outdated already, you would need an AM3 build.

What do you use your system for? Most users can get by with 4gb of memory. And if you won't be playing high end games you don't need that good of a card.

However, you will need to factor in a new psu and a new windows 7 operating system.

When you tell me what you use your system for, I can better tell you what psu and video card you'll need.

Hello 4RealzDiego and Johnb35,

Your recent posting regarding your HP SR5110NX upgrade inquiry caught my attention as I work for HP. We see that you have received a third party's specs for this unit; however, Johnb35, you can find the specs at the HP site by going to:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...0244&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

It is true that HP merged with Compaq; however, the SR5110NX reached the end of its HP support cycle in July 2010. Therefore, telephone support is not available. You have received valuable input from the Computer Forum and I agree with Johnb35's second response. If you need assistance in getting recommendations for a replacement computer, please respond to email [email protected] Attn: Priscill with your contact information, product number of your SR5110NX, and the serial number. I can see if there are sales or discounts for upgraded models. I look forward to assisting you.
