PC via xbox

I have no clue where to post this so here it goes.
Essentially I want to set this up in my room but I also want to be able to do web serving and what not in my living room while accessing that computer. Could I do it with an xbox? I currently stream all my media from my pc to my xbox with WMC but with that setup there is no way I could do any actual computing tasks in my living room. How could I have the above mentioned setup in my room and be able to do some computing in the living room as well?

As for the Apple Media Center, I don't know how that works or anything, as I don't use any Macintosh, and nor do any of my friends. As for the accessing your computer from your living room, I know a way, but I don't think you can do it from your Xbox. I use a program called Putty.exe to be able to get into a desktop computer that I have setup for programming. Its OS in a form of Unix called Debian. I access it with the program from my little netbook computer that I have from anywhere in the house, as long as I am connected to the network. All I have to do is open Putty and type in the IP address of the desktop tower and clicking of the SSH button.

I don't know if this helps, but it was just a thought.

I've only used putty for networking stuff I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible.

There's no way to remotely control a computer with an XBox 360. You could setup a second computer and use remote desktop software that would let you log into your media center computer... there will be some lag involved and if you're just using it for basic tasks it would make more sense to just do said tasks on the second computer rather than connecting to another machine.

As for what program to use, I would recommend LogMeIn, it's very easy to set up and works across PC and Macs. On top of that it's free.
