PC will not boot!

I am having a big! problem.

My PC was working well until yesterday, but when I turned the switch on today, it did not boot.

All I see are the fans spinning, but all HD's don't seem to be spinning and
the cd/dvd drives don't seem to respond as well.

I tried booting with another power supply but the results were same so I think it isn't the power supply that's damaged.

Does anyone have an idea of what might have happend to my computer overnight?
 
lol...lightning storm.....tell me wxactly what happens when u turn the computer on...u see the logo screen??? windows???? error message? blue screen of death? let me know.
 
yea could of the IDE cable blown up????????????????

No, it could have been ripped at a single part and ruined the entire cable. With his symptoms it could be a definate possibilty.
 
boot error

my computer was working fine until today when i booted it up. It says "Booting from CD" then it says "Loading GRUB stage 1.5, please wait" then it says "error 17". Then it won't go anywhere from there... :eek: HELP!!!
 
omg i'm so sorry guys, i thought i slicked the "new thread" button but instead it hit the reply button. SORRY!

now i'm gonna make it a new thread, please disregard my old reply to this thread.
