pc100 and pc133 sdram

Hi everyone,

I have a queston about sdram. I have a board that says it will use 66 and 100Mhz sdram but it is an older board and does not say anything about 133Mhz sdram.

I only have 128Mb on 100Mhz, but I have 384Mb of extra 133Mhz sdram. I would like to put the larger memory on the board.

My question is will the memory work? Could it damage the board?
I assume that it will most likely run at 100Mhz.

Any other thoughts would be helpful...

It'll more than likely work (I had a motherboard that wouldn't take single sided sticks)... even if it doesn't work it won't harm your mobo.

If it will fit in the slot it will work. You can run any ram configuration but the fsb will only use the lowest speed ram on all sticks. So if you have a 66, a 100 and a 133 all will run as 66.
