PC2-5300 to PC2-8500

Is it worth it to go from 677 2x1gb to 1066 2x1gb ram? Would i get better game performance? For the same price i could get 2x2gb 800 ram.

What is better?

would it be better to just buy a cpu cooler for my kuma... and keep my pc2 5300 for now?

Kuma @ 3.0ghz 58C load (prime95 7 hours)
 
Does you motherboard even support DDR2-800?

And depends on your system specifications. 2GB DDR2-677 is passable. If you have a good GFX, but a crappy CPU, then of course overclocking with a new cooler will help the bottleneck. Post your specs up!
 
If its a Kuma its a AM2 or AM2+ board, it supports DDR2 800 or even DDR2 1066 if its a AM2+ board. If he has 2gbs. DDR2 667 and wants to upgrade I would go ahead get 4gbs, 2X2 of 1066 or just leave the 667.
 
do i even really need to upgrade my ram? but my ram is bottlenecking my reference clock i guess... i kinda wanted to go for a Freezer Pro for my kuma

My board is an Asus M4A78-E 790gx. bios ram speed can be set up to 1200
