PC3200 & PC2700

Yep its OK to do that, it wont cause any damadge just as alanuofm said, you will ha\ve a severe bottleneck to deal with. You should look at upgrading the older 2700 module aswell.

its perfectly okay to use a pc3200 with a pc2700 right?
at almost 500 posts you should be aware of the RAM 101 by now. (hint hint)

Severe bottleneck? Uh huh.

lol sry preator i have read it it was just a while ago, i thought that question wasnt answered in it although it prolly is.

Right now i just want more than 512MBs of ram so PC2700 will be good eneugh for me :)

Lol

The performance difference of the 2700 VS the 3200 is nothing major at all. You will definitly see a big improvement in doubling the RAM size. Of course it would be better to get a 3200 stick to replace the one you have now. However, it would be, in my view, a waste of money.

JAN :D

but maybe he already has a 2700, so it would be a total of 82$ in the prices that liuliuboy found, instead of 41. and he is just doing that for when he upgrades later
