PCI Device Driver

Hello I recently reformatted my retail version of Windows with my friend’s burnt cd because I accidentally locked my self out of my computer after changing my password really fast and mistyping. I have reinstalled everything except my PCI Device. I cannot download the driver from the Microsoft website they are restricting me for not having a genuine cd key. I need the PCI Device driver because I believe it is the reason for me not having sound. I need the sound so I can play World of Warcraft and listen to music. If someone could please upload the device driver or give me a link to the driver it would be appreciated. I don't really mind if it’s not the exact driver as long as it works. Please help me.

Sorry, but it sounds like your using this copy of XP illegally and you won't get any help from us.

Seeing as how you need to enter the password twice for it to become active...yeah...

It turns out I was able to upgrade my version of windows to being real after discovering the cd key on the back off the computer box. I am now able to acess all of Microsofts updates but there doesn't appear to be one for PCI Device driver. I have installed all the updates on the site that came up in the review yet none of them seem to fix my problem. Can someone please send me a link to the PCI Device driver please?

A PCI device driver is a very generic way of saying the thing thats plugged into your computer PCI slot.

So which audio card do you have plugged in there? Have you tried going to the manufa website and getting the driver? Also, did you install the chipset?

What motherboard do you have? That should help us a lot by determining what it actually could be. Do you have sound? If you have High definition integrated sound, and you don't have sound yet, you will need to install the Microsoft UAA bus driver, which could be the pci device that you need. Once that is installed, your sound driver will work. But give us the model of the motherboard first.

I don't know what audio card I have plugged in. I haven't went to the manufacturer website because I didn't install the chipset and I am not sure what to do. I am not sure what motherboard I have however after using a program called DriverGuide Toolkit I believe it is called Baseboard: D102GGC2. I also have no sound.

The PCI Device still hasn't been installed and I still have no sound. The chipset driver did not work.

OK, then I think you need the Driver that I was talking about, the Microsoft UAA bus driver. i'll try hunting it down for you, however windows update should have found it and installed it for you. It did for me the last time i had to install it for a customer of mine.
