PCI Express 2.0?

I'm in the market for an 8800gt card for a new system i'm building. I'm noticing that all of the cards require a Pci Express 2.0 slot? I know little of this type of format, just that it apparently increases the speed from x16 to x32.

So, here's a few questions:
-Will I have to buy a pci-e 2.0 supported motherboard, and if so are they expensive? I was planning on spending up to $130 on a motherboard.
-Is this going to be the format for graphics cards of the future, and would it be worth investing in a 2.0 motherboard, if they are expensive.
-I'm currently saving up for parts, and because I do not have a job during the school year, i'm probably not going to be getting the parts until the beginning of summer. By then, will the price of a 2.0 mobo be in the 100-130 dollar range?

Thanks!

PCIe 2.0 cards are backward compatible with PCIe 1.0a and 1.1 slots but I have heard that some boards that have a PCIe 1.0 slot of having some problems. Theres AMD boards out now under 100 bucks with PCIe 2.0 slots
