Just a poll who would like to see nvidia get some of the FX Series cards such as 5200, 5500, 5700, 5900 back into the market with a PCI Express Platform for the mainstream users.

Why would they when you can already get a 6 series PCIe for a decent price...... If anything, they should take those off the market all-together....

I can think of why not. Because the FX series cards were notorious pieces of shit that nVIDIA admitted they made a big mistake with. May they rest in pieces.

I think I still have one here. If I do, it is a total piece of crap. I ripped it out of the rig within 24 hours. I have NEVER seen a card that bad, ever.

umm theres a new FX-series. its call the 7 series. the reason they change the model name is because they update the chips to support new technologies, the ones offered in a new directX version.
the FX series didn't even have vertex shaders. FP array = lose.
haha clutch...
there would be no point to introducing the fx series to pci-e because the fx series doesn't even use the full bandwidth that AGP interface offers.

Why oh why oh WHY did they do that? Are they stupid? nVIDIA admitted that at least some of the line was a failure, with sales that dropped 30% over the preceding year. They only made 100,000 NV30 GPUs, with half of them going into the Quadro FX. In fact, nVIDIA decided to run with IBM instead of the 3DFX engineers to develop the NV35.

I can't help but wonder what they were hoping to accomplish. Maybe they had some old stock to use up.

The FX 5xxx series was horrible, as other users have said. If you have a PCI-E motherboard, you should go with the 6xxx or ATI X/X1K series.

Thats cool

Hey everyone is entitled to there opinion and thats cool I think it would be great to see them bring them in myself, think about it cheap card, yeah the FX series might not be able to bring great FPS, or might not render as well, or even give the user the best eye candy. But i would by one for a low end rig, and plus for the non gamer out there which there is alot of them out there who just what a decent card for movies, internet, etc, etc.... without paying over I would say $80.00 then thats what they would buy. Plus nvidia would make a killing off of it. Myself im a big gamer I want the best, but why put the best in a new rig especially when everything is going PCIE platform anyway, that you will never us e to game on.

I think I might pay somebody to take my FX5200.....what would be the point of something lower end than say a 7300LE? Which costs like $50.....

yes, it was a joke. it was the slowest oldest video card i could find a pic of spur of the moment.
