i was just looking around at stores last ngiht for computer gear and was looking at a network adapter what would be the advanges of having this would it make my interent faster?

Nope. The only thing that will make your internet faster is to upgrade your speed through internet provider.

that would make any lan connections faster... given the other node has a gigabit nic as well. or if you had 23 DS3's multiplexed together.
