PCI x4?

Yeah, on my mobo, I have something like that. Only one slot. Ive searched google.. but still nothing about what its for, iv found out whats its called and all that, but, nothing on what goes in it. Does anyone know what it uses?
 
About all you see out there is PCIe 16x and very few PCIe 1x card. I don't know what cards have been made for anything other than those, but I'm sure they're out there...somewhere... Now, I've heard that video cards will work in slower PCIe slots if they don't have that back plastic so it'll actually fit. Ever heard of people using regular boards as SLI board?
 
Well, there arent really many products for PCI-e 4x, the main items that use PCI-e are graphics card, and theres no point in making PCI-e 4 ones when PCI-e 16x is the fastest.

There are a few PCI prodcts out there designed for PCI-e 4x, but why are searching for them, you must really have too much money if you are searching for something to fit in a slot that you dont use, lol
 
Lol no, just wondering, because its like just sitting there, looking me in the face, and im just kinda like ''What the hell do you want?!' So I thought id ask, lol :D
 
Do you have the LanParty, that's the only board I can think of right now with a 4x...really dumb if you ask me.
 
Sorry, the DFI Lanparty is a line of motherboards. What board do you have, obviously not the Lanparty.
